- This fine art giclee is printed on 245g, bright white, textured watercolor paper created from poly cotton fiber that is highly durable, acid free, and lignin free.

ABOUT THE PIECE:
I created “Contentment” using handmade watercolor paints. The work was inspired by my trips around Pensacola, Florida and Fort Pickens.
In the season that "Contentment" was created, I once again came across the book of Habakkuk. In it, the author recites a beautifully inspiring prayer of faith through trials, "yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places." (Hakakukk 3:18-19)
I have discovered that when I refocus my gaze on God and praise who he is, I do not see the cirumstances I am in to be as weary and burdensome. My soul is able to rest and find contentment, knowing the Lord is my strength and I lack nothing.
