This fine art giclee is printed on 245g, bright white, textured watercolor paper created from poly cotton fiber that is highly durable, acid free, and lignin free.

ABOUT THE PIECE:
I created “Stillness” using handmade watercolor paints. My inspiration was drawn from my travels around Pensacola, Florida and Fort Pickens.
 
It is not a secret, life as we know it is fast, instant, and overstimulating. I was unable to be still (even my thoughts ran around like that scene from Spongebob during his brain office fire) and let anyone get in the way of my dream to be a successful artist, even God. After the birth of my second child, my desire to go and see all and be all was tearing me and my family down.
 
It takes effort to be still, to stop and reliquish control of one's time, one's life. But it takes way more energy to control everything and create a life apart from God than to submit to the omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient God. In my still moments with my God, I found everything I needed. In willing my thoughts, emotions, and body to be still for time studying and praising Jesus, I learned so much more about life, love, and rest than I had in a long time.
